Residents were left up the creek without a paddle when their Managing Agent repeatedly failed to file Annual Returns with Companies House.
As a result, their residents' management company was struck off the companies register and residents were left with no legal entity to manage their property.
Here's what we did to help:
This was a particularly nasty surprise for the leaseholders - the company named in their lease as being responsible for looking after their property no longer existed because of the incompetence of the Managing Agent.
We investigated options to help reinstate the company, including applying to the Court to have the company reinstated, but due to the costs involved, we opted to set up a Right To Manage company that replaced the defunct residents' management company.
The cost of this option was less than £100 and gave the residents full control of their properties.
